In this winter landscape painting, the focus is on the delicate limbs and branches of trees. They are intentionally portrayed against a backdrop that challenges conventional expectations. To achieve this, I used a technique of presenting the branches in lighter hues than the background, creating a mesmerizing reversal of the typical tonal hierarchy. This choice draws attention to the intricacies of the winter trees and imparts a dreamlike quality to the composition. The interlacing branches are rendered with precision, evoking a sense of fragility and grace as they delicately traverse the canvas.
